We’ve already talked about some of the best designers in Barcelona, but wait, there are still more! Anticipating 080 Barcelona Fashion (June 27th to July 1st) here are some other local brands for sure you will want to check out, either on the runway or at their stores. Some are new and others are being reinvented after several years in the industry, still all these five talents will be presenting their collections at Barcelona’s fashion week and they will surely make an impact. Keep a close eye on them because this won’t be the last time you hear from them!

Eline Van Ree: originally from Belgium, Eline is currently based in Barcelona where she has been developing her own brand. Her style is defined as a mixture of her Belgian roots combined with the Mediterranean open lifestyle, focusing on hand created prints, playful-minimal cuts and lush fabrics. Eline Van Ree’s second collection is inspired by Twiggy and will be revealed at 080 — she will for sure be a stand out this season!

Loa by Lidia Aguilera: is a fusion of Formentera’s folklore, traditions and craftwork along with the trendies and most cosmopolitan side of Barcelona, resulting in a beautiful combination of fashion, tradition and femininity. Mainly produced in Spain, Loa’s creations are not mass-produced, so each garment is unique and of an exceptional quality. No wonder she was selected by 080’s organization to present on the runway!

Lola Casademunt: a family-run business founded in 1981, this brand focused on accessories and jewelry. This will be their first fashion show and it will be interesting to see how they show their colourful shoes, bags and complements on the runway.

Samuel Alarcón won the Creativity Award by ModaFAD last February, and this is just one proof of his talent in fashion design, focusing on tricot and experimenting with the creation of pieces. As a new designer, we can’t wait to see how he grows.

Red Point: the summer edition of 080 will also feature some swimwear and one of the most interesting presenting will be Red Point. Even though it is a family business founded in 1982, this will be their first fashion show where they will present the latest swimwear collection for women and men. Hot temperatures are assured!
