Today more than ever Fashion is Art and it is performance. Last Fashion Weeks have proved that fashion shows are exactly this: SHOWS. Designers main objective now is to wow the public while they show us their last collections. We have summarise for you the best and most surprising fashion shows out of F/W 2018 Fashion Week. Ready? Welcome to the show:

Giambattista Valli Glitter faces!

During the brand’s Paris Fashion Week Fall 2018 runway show Giambattista Valli took the glitter trend to a next level, covering (entirely) models faces with glitter! Is there anything cooler?

Gucci: F/W Cyborg

This is the name Alessandro Michele gave to Gucci´s last Show during the Milan Fashion Week. This was probably one of favourite shows for Doctors and TV Shows freaks, as the Italian Designer presented his FW collection “inside” a surgery room and with the sound of a beating heart as the BSO. Also, we could see models walking with fake tiny dinosaurs and “human heads” in hand. Something that reminded us to Game of Thrones!

Tommy Hilfiger: Races Field

Iconic Tommy Hilfiger model Gigi Hadid opened the FW 2018 show walking through wheels and gas tanks. The American designer and his team wanted to imitate a Formula 1 Race Field to present a fashion collection inspired by the motorbike and car universe. ¡AMAZING! We are already dreaming about shopping all the collection!

Doce&Gabbana: Drones with bags

Could you imagine bags coming into the catwalk carried by drones? Well, that is exactly what happened during Dolce&Gabbana´s last show: An army of drones appeared on stage and started flying over the assistants´heads carrying the it-bags of the season! We absolutely loved this futurist and techie scene proposal!

Balenciaga (Demna Gvasalia): Graffiti Mountain

Demna Gvasalia organised a really colourful and funny show for Balenciaga´s most solidary show. The stage was covered with a colourful mountain made for skaters (that reminded us to Salvation Mountain, L.A.). Balenciaga and the Food World Program joined forces to raise founds, and they gave the 10% of the sold pieces to this United Nations Organisation that fights against hunger around the world.

Philipp Plein: Transformer Robots

Philipp Plein chose to open his fashion show in New York with Irina Shayk in hand with a Transformer Robot and under a snow storm!!! Original, huh? This staging left all the assistants speechless! It is known that Philipp Plein always organise quite surprising and shocking shows during the New York Fashion Week such as music performances with well-known artists!

Calvin Klein: Popcorn carpet

Raf Simons was responsible for organising last Calvin Klein´s show during the NY Fashion Week. In this case, the designer gave up the fake snow to cover the catwalk with popcorn!!! This was definitely one of most original and unique fashion shows of 2018! To organise this show, Raf Simons said he was inspired by Cinema and artists such as Andy Warhol!

Spanish Fashion Designers have also followed this path and National fashion shows are everyday crazier and more surprising! We are looking forward to see the next edition of the MBFW Madrid and the 080 Barcelona (the two Official Fashion Shows in the Country) and see what they have prepared for us!
